Wedding ReceptionThe
reception is a memorable celebration in which family, friends, and you can
rejoice in the tradition of marriage. It will be one of the greatest
events in your life.
An average wedding costs thousands of dollars. Most guests don't remember how lovely the flowers were or how the food tasted, but they do remember if they had a good time. A professional, experienced DJ can help ensure that your guests will stay for the duration of your reception to celebrate your new life together. Opening SongsOnce the cocktail hour has ended, DJ Celebrations will make sure the parted gets started with great music. The music will be the kind that immediately gets the guests in a good mood (such as Sinatra's The Way You Look Tonight). Introduction of the Bridal partyAt the reception, we will introduce the bridal party onto the dance floor. All of the attendants and special guests will enjoy being honored and formally introduced. This can be done two by two or one at a time. Special comments about the bridal party can be included during the introductions. Musical choices for this presentation of can include "That's What Friends Are For (Dionne Warwick), You've Got A Friend (James Taylor), Friends In Low Places (Garth Brooks), We Are Family (Sister Sledge) or Because You Loved Me (Celine Dion)". Dinner Music and the ToastDJ Celebrations knows how to vary the songs and tunes during dinner so dancers and diners will be appropriately pleased. Standards are an excellent choice during the dinner. The First DanceAt the reception, one of the most important moments is the bride and groom's first dance. Usually after your introduction to the guests, you and your new spouse will share this special dance alone. Your choice of music should be one that has a special meaning for the both of you. The Father and Daughter DanceFor the bride and the father of bride, this dance is a special event during the reception. This is the point in the reception when a father bids a kind farewell to his daughter. Musical choices for this dance can include for example Amazed (Lonestar), From This Moment (Shania Twain & Bryan Adams) or Unforgettable ((Natalie Cole). The Mother and Son DanceThis is a delicate moment for the bride and important event for the Mama of the Groom. Mama will dance with her son, proud, happy and filled with joy. Popular choices are Don't Know Much (Linda Rondstadt and Aaron Neville), Moon River (Andy Williams), Through The Years (Kenny Rogers) or Wind Beneath My Wings (Bette Midler). Cake CuttingThis is always a surprise at every wedding. Planning is the key to make this moment a memorable one. The Bride and the Groom typically choose fun and festive music at this point in the reception. Of course the number one pick is usually the Bride Cuts the Cake (various artists) or How Sweet It Is to Be Loved By You (James Taylor) or When I'm Sixty-Four (Beatles). Garter TossChoosing the right music for the garter event can make this part of the reception fun. It is important this is done with class. Musical choices such as The Stripper (David Rose) or Legs (ZZ Top) are common at receptions whereas Oh, Pretty Woman (Roy Orbision) or Heaven (Bryan Adams) may be an appropriate choice.
